100 days

Who knew that Monday morning I would not be well 100 days later?

Not me.

100 days is a long time. Almost a third of a year.  Waking up never feeling well.  Always tired. Forever ready for resting. Brain foggy.

Some weird things I've learnt now:

1. Life can be pared down to essentials. Get up. Go to work. Come home. Rest. Go to bed. On repeat.
2.  There's plenty of useless things to fill your time
3. You've really got to plan. I used to have say, 15 units of energy per day. Now I have 5. You've gotta use them wisely.
4. I miss exercise. I miss my personal trainer. I dreamed I was training with him last night. It was great til he left me when he got distracted (not a real thing that he's ever done)
5. Gee it's lovely getting home in daylight.
6. Things are so much easier to do when you're not stuck in an office from 9-5. Getting a new passport, apart from the energy required, was way easier than it would normally be.
7. It's amazing how focussed you can be at work when you really only have a very small amount of time
8. I miss helping students with their writing.  I haven't done it all this semester.
