Meghan and Harry

Well, I just watched the wedding after avoiding it last night because I thought it would be boring, soul destroying and frustrating. The good thing is I could just watch the best bits and skip through the boring. I had some thoughts:
1. What a corker of a sermon.  Great preacher, great message.  Just missed why we need Jesus: cos we are all broken and rebellious. But really liked it overall. American preachers are so much more emotional. 
2. Man I felt sorry for Meghan's mum
3. I think Harry loves Meghan more than Meghan loves Harry.  I hope I'm wrong. 
4. Stand By Me: one of my dream things is to sing in an African gospel choir. Great singing. 
5.  The soprano at the beginning: what a pure beautiful voice
6. I loved the dress much more than Catherine's.  Just much more my style. 
7.  I love Meghan's nose. Glad she never had surgery on it (I presume)
8. The kids were so cute
9.  The cellist: too many faces!! 
10. I really pray they have a long and fulfilling life together.  
11. My favourite royal wedding, hands down. 

12.  I'm not crying, you're crying. I totally cried multiple times.

Ahhh June.  It's the longed for month in higher ed as we hit exams and my classes stop.  We finished interviewing and sent out the offers and then I wrote back to about 10 people who asked for feedback. Giving feedback is hard. Particularly when they really weren't very good. It's easy when they were good - you can just say that. But to help someone who needs it to grow, and not get sued? That's hard. What happened in June?  Well I caught up with Nana. I am always astounded that leaders from my team want to meet up - I also met up with Luya as well at the end of the month and she bought me lunch.  And I had brunch with Laila. Basically my only socialising is with my old leaders!! In not so exciting news, I couldn't charge my laptop and I took it to the store last Monday and they couldn't help me until tomorrow (1 July) and I cried and I have borrowed a laptop and I'll take that one in if I ever get energy. The mental health outcomes for people with chronic fatigue are worse than many other major illnesses. I think this is because of a range of factors, including isolation, loneliness, lack of hope, and no real treatment options. That's why, I think, I burst into tears today. Our church has always had a weekend away, a weekend where we would get together, eat (sometimes sub-optimal) food, fellowship, listen to talks, chat, swim, play, etc.  But next year it's not happening. Not worried

Well, I'm starting again. Another blog. So my friends can read it and they will get it through their RSS feeds. Sorry Dad. Maybe I will get killed by an internet stalker, but probably nobody cares.
